Welcome to Mottram St Andrew Academy
Mottram St Andrew Primary Academy is an excellent school, and it is a great privilege to be its Headteacher. We are incredibly lucky to have such wonderful children who are consistently a credit to the school. Children have only one primary education, and we want each child to achieve their full potential whilst developing a lifelong love of learning. We have a rich, varied curriculum which values the children’s development in all subject areas. Great teaching across the school provides children with interesting, creative experiences and ensures that children are positive about what each day will bring.
Our staff, parents and governors are all hugely supportive of the school and rightly want it to be the very best in all areas. As a school, we take great pride in our achievements but are also committed to our continued development. We have an experienced and dedicated staff team who want the best for the children during their time here.
If you are a prospective parent then please contact the school to arrange a visit. Everyone who visits is impressed with the friendly, positive atmosphere and the excellent behaviour of our children.

Places in School
We are a very unusual school in that we only have a small catchment area, without a large amount of housing. Nearly all of our parents have made a conscious choice to bring their child here from outside the catchment area. This means that, despite being very popular, we do have some places in school, currently in Reception, Year 1, Year 2 & Year 3. We are full in Year 4, Year 5 & Year 6.
If you are interested in a place in our school, then please email firstname.lastname@example.org for information and to arrange a visit. We are now showing prospective parents around school for places in Nursery or Reception in September 2024, as well as for in year places in Reception, Year 2 or Year 3.
This is what one of our Year 6 children wrote about our school:
Well, let's start: Mottram is a great school. The teachers are lovely, and the classrooms are really nice and a reasonable size. The school dinners are incredible (especially the desserts). I think the books are really good, and I have read lots of them in different classes. Mottram has made me so happy over the years, and I am devastated to leave next year. If you are thinking about sending your child to Mottram then DON'T HESITATE.
