Year 2 - Summer Term 2024
We have another exciting and busy term ahead of us in Year 2!
We start reading The Last Wolf in Literacy followed by Grandad’s Secret Giant. In Numeracy we further our understanding of fractions, then we move on to telling the time. Next is statistics and finally position and direction. In between all those topics we will be revising topics which we covered in the Autumn and Spring Terms especially being able to solve word problems with one or two steps.
Our exciting topic in History is the Great Fire of London!
Our PE lessons this term will be on a Wednesday and Friday. Make sure that you are wearing your PE kit on those days. If the weather looks to be sunny please bring in a sun hat.

General information:
Please make sure that your child brings their reading book and record with them each day.
Please may I request that children come into school in the mornings carrying their water bottles so avoiding any spillages in their book bags.
Homework will be sent out via an email every Friday and the tasks are to be completed by the following Wednesday.
Your child should have a named coat and water bottle in school each day.
