Homework
Homework in Year 5 will be set on a Friday and will be due for completion the following Thursday. Please see the table below for a summary of weekly tasks:
| Maths |
Mathletics tasks will be set weekly to support our learning in class. Log in details are in the front of your child’s reading record. Times Table Rockstars. The children are encouraged to complete at least 10- 15 Garage sessions. A further maths written task may also be set, usually with an extra challenge where appropriate. |
| English |
Spellings will be sent weekly and will be checked on a Friday morning. Daily reading to an adult and reading record to be signed and dated. |
| Foundation Subjects |
Once every term, an extended piece of homework will be set. This will usually be linked to a history or geography topic area. Two weeks will be given to complete this piece of work. |
An email will be sent to parents if homework is incomplete or missing and children will be expected to complete their unfinished tasks at lunchtime.
